Obverse : Deer standing to right, anklers(?) long legs, stubby tail. Indistict symbol above to left.
Reverse : Legend in Brahmi - ga .. ka la pu ta ha
The coloured Artwork of Barking Deer; a realistic representation of the stylised drawing on coin, is by Wildlife Artist Sanjaya Weeratunge.
Obv: Described in OBRW as a Maneless lion, looks more like a Deer as the legs are long relative to body. The square like symbol above is not connected to the stubby tail.
