Ancient Lanka - Tree and Svastika
12 Comp., 5 Branch Fork - Clockwise
A large circular copper-lead coin with a treewith five branches each
with triple Fork at end within enclosure of twelve compartments on
obverse and a railed svastika revolving to right (clockwise) on the
reverse.

Obverse : A tree with five branches within enclosure of twelve compartments in
three rows of four each. The end of each branch splits into triple fork.
Symbol on eitherside maybe the lion to left beween horizontal lines.
All in plain circle.
Reverse : A Railed svastika revolving to right (clockwise).
Symbol on left maybe the lion to left beween horizontal lines. On
right indistict below uncleaned corrosion. All in plain circle.
This is one variety of many coins of this type.
The coin was scanned at 400 dpi and displayed at 250 dpi.
It was obtained in 2003 March from Mr A. Ratnayaka a collector in
Katharagama, Lanka.
